This weekend the Scottish Junior Qualifiers take place at Ayr Curling Rink.
Due to an uneven balance in the draw for the Junior Men’s qualifiers this season it was felt that an alteration to the qualifying process should be made which will now be fair to all teams. Three teams will now qualify from each section (A, B & C). The finals will now be played as a round robin of 9 teams with the first game taking place on Tuesday 24 January at 2.45pm.
In the girls section twelve teams will compete for seven places. The top three teams in Section D & E will qualify for the Finals. The fourth placed teams in each section will play-off, with the winner of that game also qualifying for the Finals.
Games commence at 9am on Friday. Click here for the team lists, draws, and to keep track of the results over the weekend.
At Stranraer Ice Rink this weekend 12 clubs will compete in the Double Rink Championships. The Double Rink consists of two teams from each club playing against one another to generate a combined score based on points, ends and shots. Games starts at 3pm on Friday, 2 December. The semi-finals will take place on Sunday at 10am and the final will commence at 2.30pm. Click here to follow the results.
