Weekend Preview: 9-11 December

This weekend 13 teams will compete in the 5th Scottish Mixed Doubles Curling Championships at Murrayfield Curling Rink.

The 13 teams have been split into 3 sections. Sections A and B contain four teams each, while Section C has 5.

The competition starts on Friday at 4.45pm, with the semi-finals and final at 12pm and 3pm respectively.

The winning team will represent Scotland at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships in Erzrum, Turkey 23-29 April 2012.

The fourth leg of the Under 17 Slam gets underway this weekend at Hamilton Ice Rink.  Twenty-four teams (including boys, girls and mixed teams) will compete for valuable points.  Games get underway at 10am on Saturday morning with top teams in each section qualifying for the knockout stages of the High Road, and second placed teams qualifying for the knockout stages of the Low Road.  The final will be on Sunday at 3pm.
