RCCC Academy Confirm Partnership with Foxglide

The RCCC Academy has confirmed a partnership with Foxglide for season 2017-18 to support Scottish junior performance development. Foxglide’s support will enable the winners of the Asham Under 21 Slam, Greenacres to compete at the Nordic Junior Curling Tour (NJCT) in Copenhagen from 24th – 26th November 2017.
Foxglide are the event sponsors of the NJCT which was set up in 2016 by former Scottish and World Junior Curling Champion, James Dryburgh, who now resides in Sweden.
Based in Glasgow, Foxglide is a performance kit supplier, specialising in curling and providing kit to the Scottish national curling teams, as well as some of the other top teams and countries in the world.Their comprehensive network enables distribution to any location worldwide quickly and securely.
Alan Mitchell, Managing Director of Foxglide said “We are delighted to support Scottish junior curling and to work with the RCCC Academy. The opportunity to play in a NJCT event will be a fantastic experience for teams with international ambitions”.
To encourage wider development, last season the RCCC Academy introduced incentives to gain entry to international competitions which are available to all Scottish teams competing in the Asham Under 21 Slam.
We are delighted to confirm the structure of the competition incentives for the 2017/18 season as follows:
- After the first Asham Under 21 Slam the top ranked men’s and women’s teams get entry, travel and accommodation into NJCT, Copenhagen.
- After three Asham Under 21 Slams the top two men’s teams receive competition entry into Perth Masters, and the top two women’s teams receive competition entry into Glynhill Ladies International.
- After four Asham Under 21 Slams and the Scottish Junior Championships the top two men’s teams receive competition entry into Aberdeen International, and the top two women’s teams receive competition entry into City of Perth Ladies International.
