The Scottish Curling Senior Championships get underway on Thursday 7th February at Lanarkshire Ice Rink, Hamilton. Twelve men’s and twelve women’s teams will be competing for the national men’s and women’s senior titles in this annual event which is open to curlers over the age of 50 and brings together the best teams from across Scotland.

Teams will be split into four sections of six – Women sections A & B and Men sections C & D – with round robin play determining the top three teams from each section qualifying for the knockout stages. Teams ranked 1st in each section will qualify for the semis and teams ranked 2 and 3 will play quarters.  This is a trial system of play this year.

Both finals will take place on Sunday 10th February at 2:30pm.

The winning Scottish Senior Men’s and Women’s teams will earn the right to represent Scotland at the World Senior Curling Championships where Scotland has achieved significant success in recent years.
