The finals of the National Masters Championships begin this Thursday 7th March at Greenacres Curling Rink.

The National Mens and Womens Masters titles are competed for by curlers aged 60 years or over. The finals are in league sections with section winners and runners up qualifying for the knock out stages.

15 womens teams will be competing across three sections, A, B and C and earlier in the season 29 men’s teams were involved in qualifying playdowns to determine the 12 teams which make up the mens sections D and E.

In 2012 Sandy Nelson and Lois Brown skipped their teams to victory in their respective men’s and women’s finals and both are again in the running with places in Section D (Sandy) and Section B (Lois).

Play gets underway in the womens Championship at 10:00am with the mens first session following at 12:30pm. Finals are scheduled for Sunday 10th March.
