The focus of this remarkable international season for Scottish teams now turns to Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada, with the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship getting underway there on Saturday 30th March.
Scotland is represented by the five-man team that won the national Championship last month – skip David Murdoch, third Tom Brewster and the three-man front end of Greg Drummond, Michael Goodfellow and Scott Andrews (pictured).
The twelve teams who have qualified for this event are: hosts Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Japan, Norway, Russia, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.
The teams will battle it out in seventeen sessions of round-robin play, scheduled from Saturday 30th March until the evening of Thursday 4th April. At the end of the round-robin, tie-breakers will be played, if needed, to determine the top four ranked teams.
