Semi Finals Sunday 15th Feb, 10am

Women Results
The O.V.D. Scottish Curling Senior Women’s Championship final will be contested between Teams Christine Cannon and Kay Gibb. Team Gibb saw off Adams with a decisive 10-1 result and Waddell conceded to Cannon after the sixth end at score 5-2.

Prentice 3Men Results
The O.V.D. Scottish Curling Senior Men’s Championship final will be contested between Teams Hay and defending champions Team Prentice. It was a 4 in end five for Hay and a 3 in end seven for Prentice that really made the difference in both games to see their teams proceed to the men’s final. Pictured the moment Team Prentice made their 3 in end 7.

The men’s and women’s finals will take place at 2:30pm, Lanarkshire Ice Rink, Hamilton. Free spectator entry.

Quarter Finals (Men & Women): Saturday 14th Feb, 7.00pm

Results Senior Men
Team McMillan will face Team Prentice in the semi finals after defeating Team Jamieson.  In the other quarter final Team Ken Horton secured their place in the semi final, against Team Hay, after a last stone win against Team Hardie.

Results Senior Women
Team Waddell will meet Team Christine Cannon in the semi final after defeating Team Carolyn Nicoll in the quarter finals.  Team Adams will face Team Kay Gibb after overcoming Team Semple.

Men Draw 5: Saturday 14th Feb, 11.30am

Results Section A
In the top of the table clash to determine who would qualify straight to the semi final Team Hay (pictured below) brought Team McMillan’s unbeaten run to an end.  In the only other game to be played in this section, Team Ken Horton defeated Graeme Adam to take the third qualifying spot and progress to the knockout stage.

The winner of this game would progress straight to the semi final, it was Team Prentice who came out on top defeating Team Hardie in a last stone thriller.  Team Ferguson picked up their only win of the Championship defeating Team Wilson in an extra end. Team Jamieson (pictured) defeated Team Billy Howat to secure the last qualification spot.

Women Draw 7: Saturday 14th Feb, 8.30am

Results Section A
Team Christine Cannon secured top spot in the section continuing their unbeaten run against Team Enid Brown.  Team Christine Ross defeated Team Watt to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive, however Team Adams (pictured below) defeated Team Scott in a game that came down to last stone to secure the last qualifying spot in the section.

Results Section B
Team Kay Gibb secured top spot in the section, on ranking, with a win against Team Smith and will progress straight to the semi final on Sunday morning.  After their win over Team Swankie, Team Gwen Prentice were looking for Team Ann Johnstone to beat Team Isobel Waddell to keep their tie-break hopes alive.  Team Ann Johnstone duly obliged with a last stone win to force a tiebreaker between Prentice and Waddell for the last qualification spot.

Women Draw 6: Friday 13th Feb, 5.30pm

Results Section A
Team Christine Cannon extended their unbeaten run to five games and remain top of Section A securing their place in the knock out stages. Carolyn Nicoll is also through winning against Barbara Watt. Christine Ross recorded a comprehensive victory over Enid Brown who are still looking for their first win.

Team Semple (pictured) secured their place in the knock out stages after an extra end win over Team Swankie. Also through on four wins out of five are Team Gibb.

Team McMillan maintained their unbeaten record with a win over Team MacFarlane. Team Mike Dick are yet to record their first win losing to Team Ken Horton who maintained his winning form from draw two.  Team Hay came out on top after a close game against Graeme Adam.

Former Scottish, European and World Champion Hammy McMillan marked his first appearance at the seniors with a win against last year’s runners up Graeme Adam. Teams MacFarlane and 2013 Scottish Senior Champions Hay also notched up wins in the men’s first session.

Results Section A
Christine Cannon remain the only team unbeaten in Section A after a hard fought win over Christine Ross, a 4 in end seven making the difference to finish 9-8 after eight ends. Barbara Watt’s 2012 Scottish Champions are yet to record their first win losing to Team Adams who make it two wins out of two. Despite a good start going 5-3 up into the sixth end Team Scott were undone in the last three ends of their game with Carolyn Nicoll scoring consecutively to get their second victory out of three.

SS D3Team Kay Gibb continue their winning form topping Section B on their own with three wins out of three (pictured) against Team Semple who sit second.
