Nominations sought for the 2017 Scottish Curling Awards

Nominations are being sought for the 2017 Scottish Curling Awards in four categories:-

Young Curler of the Year
Grassroots Coach of the Year
Team of the Year
Ice Diamond Award

The Scottish Curling Awards are held annually to acknowledge and celebrate the success and achievements of Scottish curlers over the last year. The awards are presented by the Royal Caledonian Curling Club and will feature in the proceedings at its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 17th June 2017 at Braehead Curling Rink, Glasgow.

Making a nomination
Nominations must be made using the online form
Nominations forms must be fully completed
Only members of the RCCC are eligible to make a nomination
Only members of the RCCC can be nominated for an award
Nominations must be received by 10am, Monday 1st May 2017

Use the Awards Criteria below to find out what we are looking for:

Young Curler of the Year
We are looking for an individual who has performed to a high level throughout the 2016-2017 curling season at home and/or abroad. This award is open to both males and females who were under the age of 21 on 30 June 2016. A panel will assess all nominations and shortlist three finalists based on their performances throughout the curling season. This award will go to the Young Curler who attracts the most votes from the RCCC membership.

Team of the Year
We are looking for a team who has performed to a high level throughout the 2016-2017 curling season at home and/or abroad. A panel will assess all nominations and shortlist three finalists based on their curling performances and successes throughout the curling season. This award will go to the Team who attracts the most votes from the RCCC membership.

Grassroots Coach of the Year
We are looking for a coach who has made a significant contribution to the sport of curling at local level. A panel will assess all nominations and shortlist three finalists. This award will go to the Grassroots Coach who attracts the most votes from the RCCC membership.

Ice Diamond Award
We are looking for a volunteer or group of volunteers who have contributed to the development and/or promotion of the sport. A panel will assess all nominations and shortlist three finalists. This award will go to the individual or group who attracts the most votes from the RCCC membership.
