Following the articles in the press this weekend the National Coach and the Scottish Skip would like to make the following three points of clarification:
1. The Scottish Skip was dropped for performance reasons;
2. The National Coach decided to play with 3 players; and
3. The National Coach did not ask the Scottish Skip to return to the ice.
A full investigation into the circumstances and actions that led to Scotland take the ice with three players at Women's World Championships will take place when the team return next week.
The investigation will be led by an independant lawyer who will advise the Board on any actions which should be taken.
