New Under 14 Slam…

Posted on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 12:53pm

The Royal Club is piloting a new Under 14 Slam this year. With a growing junior membership over recent years and 343 members currently under the age of 14, there is certainly no shortage in the number of eligible competitors.

Meetings with junior club coaches across Scotland took place through the summer period and demand was highlighted for competitions for ‘younger’ participants. This is partly due to the success of the Royal Club’s Under 17 Slam in which 32 teams are competing this season. The standard of play in the Under 17 Slam is very high and the Slam has arguably contributed to the success of Scotland’s Junior teams at National and International events in recent years.

3 events will form the Under 14 Slam this season with the first event at Stranraer on Saturday 17th December followed by Braehead on Saturday 18th February and Curl Aberdeen on Saturday 3rd March. Entries are being accepted now!
