More Women, More Girls, in Curling!
Posted on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 3:12pm
We are pleased to announce a new workshop; More Women, More Girls, in Curling! to support the RCCC in reaching its equality objectives.
The hour-long session will focus on how to engage more women and girls in sport, across all areas of curling. The workshop will take place on the same day as our AGM, 17th June 2017, in the Marketing Suite at intu Braehead, and is open to all RCCC members.
More Women, More Girls, in Curling! will share research on participation levels women and girls in sport, consider if the trends within research are also trends within curling, look at examples of other sports that have delivered successful projects to increase the participation of women and girls and discuss if there are any lessons we can take and implement within curling.
Some key questions that will be considered include:
- How can we attract more women and girls to start curling?
- How can we encourage female participants to be more active as players, coaches, umpires?
- How can we involve more female curlers to be active in RCCC committees and the board?
