Gold Medal Achievements Recognised at Civic Reception

On Thursday 16 June, Dumfries and Galloway Council provided a civic reception for medal winning curlers who were presented with gifts from the Council and Stranraer Ice Rink who hosted the event.

The World Champion curlers were:
Christine Cannon, Wigtown Curling Club, World Senior Curling Champion
Gregor Cannon, Wigtown Curling Club, World Junior Curling Champion
Bobbie Lammie, Leswalt Curling Club, World Junior Curling Champion

The national champion curlers were:
Hamilton McMillan, Castle Kennedy Curling Club, Scottish Curling Champion
Vicki Adams, Portpatrick Curling Club, Scottish Curling Champion
Anna Sloan, Lockerbie, Scottish Curling Champion
Norman Brown, Stoneykirk Curling Club, Scottish Senior Champion
Hugh Aitken, Limekiln Loch Curling Club, Scottish Senior Champion
Naomi Brown, Stoneykirk Curling Club, Scottish Junior Champion

Three RCCC members were also recognised for representing Ireland:
Peter Wilson, Limekiln Loch Curling Club, Irish Senior Champion
Neil Fyfe and Alison Fyfe, Leswalt Curling Club, Irish Mixed Doubles Champions
