Forfar Set For Fourth Asham Under 17 Slam Event

The fourth Asham Under 17 Slam of the season will be held at Forfar Indoor Sports from Monday 28th to Tuesday 29th December. The Asham Under 17 Slam comprises five events with points being awarded at each event. Current leaders Team Kinnear are winners of two of the Slams this season, and currently have 53 points, while Team Gilmore lie in second place with 45 points and Team Bryce sit in third place with 37 points.

The standings were given a bit of a shake-up at the most recent competition – The Baljaffray Trophy – where Amy Bryce was victorious, and a previously unbeaten Callum Kinnear was knocked out in the quarter-finals by Scott Lockhart. This penultimate event in the slam could therefore prove to be a turning point for many of the top teams – and with all ten of the highest ranked teams taking part in the competition it’s impossible to predict the results.

The teams are competing for the coveted top prize of secured places at the World Curling Federation Camp in Fussen, Germany. The top three results will be accumulated to determine the overall winner and a winning girls team.

For the current draw, team list and to follow the event go to Asham Under 17 Slam Forfar.
