Forfar Claim the Morton Trophy

The Morton Trophy returned to Fife Ice Arena on the 14th of March, the arriving teams were given a warm welcome from the members of Kirkcaldy Ladies Centre (KLC).

The day saw well prepared ice, helped by the support of Gail Munro from Stranraer Ice Rink. The players from the North were represented by Forfar, East by Kinross, West by Lanarkshire and the South by Dumfries. After intense play, and very close games Kinross and Forfar won through to the Final in the afternoon

Play continued with the final in the afternoon and the winning team was Forfar; winning two and narrowly losing the third of the final games. The Ladies Branch President, Jan Howard, presented the trophy to the Forfar team. Also present during the day were LSC Vice President Margaret Pottie and Junior Vice President Margaret Nicol.
