Mixed Doubles Seminar – Borders Ice Rink Saturday 9th December – 10.30am – 1.30pm

Curlers at Borders Ice Rink are being offered an exciting opportunity this weekend to learn about Mixed Doubles. Performance Curlers Bruce Mouat & Gina Aitken will introduce curlers to the format and rules before taking them onto the ice to try it themselves!

Asham Under 14 Slam – 9th December – Dewars Centre, Perth

The third Asham Under 14 Slam will take place on Saturday in Perth. 16 teams from across the country will come together, competing in 4 sections in four end games before splitting into a high road and low road. This will be some of the curlers first ever games and competition. The two slam winners from this year: Team Carson and Team Munro have been drawn in the same section meaning this could be an opportunity for a new name to emerge victorious. Regardless, it will be a fun-filled day with plenty of curling and enjoyment. Skills Award Assessor Workshop – 8th December, Stranraer Ice Rink

The course consists of a three hour interactive off-ice workshop designed to provide essential information to participants allowing them to assess athletes involved in the Skills Awards programme.

Fault Analysis and Correction Workshop, 10th December, Murrayfield

Murrayfield Ice Rink is also going to be hosting a workshop on Fault Analysis and Correction.  Led by three experienced tutors the session will include classroom and on ice elements based on the current British Curling delivery model.  The workshop will be led by Performance Development Coach assisted by Academy Coaches Barbara MacFarlane and Alison Cunningham.
