Curling This Weekend: What’s On 27-29 September

The second leg of the Goldline Scottish Curling Tour (SCT) gets underway tonight Friday 27th September with the Intu Braehead Open, sponsored by The Cardwell Garden Centre.

A total of 32 teams will be taking part across two groups at Braehead Curling with each team set to play a minimum of four games, and a maximum of seven if they reach the final.

Asham _LOGOwebLockerbie Ice Rink will host the first of the Asham Under 17 Slams this weekend from tomorrow Saturday 28th September. Following the success of Asham’s sponsorship of the Asham Under 14 Slam, the equipment supplier has extended its title rights to include the Asham Under 17 Slam and the newly formed Asham Under 21 Slam. The Asham Under 17 Slam – The Stevenson Trophy, starts on Saturday 28th at 9am with the final taking place on Sunday 29th at 2pm.

The Asham Under 17 Slam comprises five events at Lockerbie, Greenacres, Lanarkshire, Forfar and Perth with points awarded at each. The top three or four results (depending on number of team entries) are accumulated to determine the overall winner and winning girls team.

There are a total of 27 Teams competing in the Asham U17 Slam with 24 teams participating in this event.
