Some of the best teams in the world will be competing at the Women’s Masters Basel this weekend including those skipped by 2012 World Champion Mirjam Ott (SUI), 2011 European Champion Eve Muirhead (SCO) and 2012 Junior World Champion Hannah Fleming (SCO), pictured. Scotland has three Performance Squad teams participating in the event which runs from 12–14 October.
Scotland 1: Eve Muirhead, Anna Sloan, Vicki Adams, Claire Hamilton
Scotland 2: Hannah Fleming, Lauren Gray, Jennifer Dodds, Abi Brown
Scotland 3: Lorna Vevers, Sarah Reid, Alice Spence, Kay Adams

Stranraer Ice Rink will host The Scottish Senior Mixed Championship from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th October. This is an RCCC event competed for by teams of two men and two women playing in alternate positions in each team. 16 teams will be competing including 2011 Scottish Senior Mixed Champion Archie Craig and Low Road winner Gary McFarlane.

The Star Refrigeration National Pairs Wheelchair Championship takes place at Braehead Curling from 12-14 October. Amongst the twenty teams taking part are skips Michael McCreadie and Tom Killin who were recently inducted into the Scottish Disability Sport Hall of Fame. Aileen Neilson who was one of this year’s Paralympic Torch bearers will also feature.

Braehead will be live webstreaming the final on Sunday at 2.30pm with commentary from Tony Zummack and Judy Mackenzie. For access click National Pairs Final Live

The Goldline Scottish Curling Tour moves to Forfar this weekend from 12-14 October when 24 teams will be competing from around Scotland in the Forfar Open. RCCC Performance Squad curler Glen Muirhead will be skipping his team in an event which has always produced a high standard of curling. Spectators are very welcome, visit Forfar Indoor Sports for more information.
