Newcomers

The Royal Caledonian Curling Club’s annual Newcomers competition was held on Sunday 7th April at Greenacres Curling Rink with 72 participants in 18 teams.

Newcomers is an individual entry format with teams compiled to encourage curlers from different areas to mix. This event is for RCCC junior members aged 16 and under, and is targeted at those new to competitive curling.

Teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games of three ends. After completion of preliminary rounds, the four top teamsĀ  play for the High Road Finals and the teams finishing in 5th to 8th places compete in the Low Road Finals.
