The “FALCONER TROPHY”

The “Falconer trophy” is a competition played by those teams from Elgin Curling Club that compete in Moray Province Leagues. All games are played early in the season to provide these teams with some, perhaps well needed, practice usually before the Province League competitions start. This year the teams have been split up into three mini leagues, the top placed team from each group will play in a fourth mini league to decide the eventual winner of the trophy.

The “MacNeill Trophy”

This Competition takes place during the second half of the season.  Teams are loosely grouped. The nominated "Organiser" (the first name in each team) is responsible for having a team available each night, but is not committed to being the Skip. If a player is unable to play, it is his / her responsibility to arrange a substitute.  Failure to do so will result in the game being forfeited and that player being charged for the ice.  If a team plays a named player from another team, that team will forfeit the game, and their opponents will be awarded 2 points and 6 shots.  Reserves will be eligible to play for more than one team.
