First Twenty Five Years
With the release of the Second Twenty Five Years just around the corner, we thought you might like to have access to the First Twenty Five Years. Click here to download your copy. The Second Twenty Five Years
In 2008 Elizabeth Paterson-Brown persuaded me to write a sequel to Marjorie Broatch’s book – “The First Twenty Five Years”. This was quite a daunting task but in turn I persuaded our Past Presidents to provide me with their reminiscences of their year in office. Along with contributions from our Gold Medallists and with Bob Cowan as Editor I have compiled an illustrated history full of memoirs and anecdotes which I hope you will find interesting and amusing. “The Second Twenty Five Years” is priced at £10.00 and can shortly be purchased from your Centre Representative or from the Ladies’ Branch Merchandising Officer – Jenny Stark. The proceeds from the sale of “The Second Twenty Five Years” will support ladies’ curling including juniors who were of special interest to Elizabeth. I hope you will enjoy reading the history of Ladies’ Branch - perhaps finding yourselves in one of the 100 photographs illustrated inside the book. Scottish Ladies Team to Tour the United States of America in 2011
The Selection Committee for the USA tour meet on Thursday, 14th January and selected 20 applicants for the outgoing tour. These applicants were ratified at the LSC meeting on Tuesday, 26th January, all of whom have accepted. The Selection Committee are delighted to announce the tourists and wish them a victorious tour.
