_70P4737Team Fleming progressed to the Final of the 2015 Scottish Curling Championships after defeating Team Aitken in the Semi-Final. Team Fleming moved into an early lead after scoring a one in the 1st and stealing a four in the 2nd end when Gina Aitken’s attempted draw was heavy. A further steal in the 5th end after an exchange of singles saw Team Fleming going into the 5th end break with a 7-1 lead. Team Aitken fought valiantly to get back in the game but after trading singles offered handshakes following the eighth end with the score 8-3 in Fleming’s favour. Team Fleming will now face Team Muirhead in the Final tomorrow at 11am.

EMacDWith the score 2-1 to Team Mouat after three ends, a well executed double take out from Ewan MacDonald with his last in the 4th end saw them lying three, leaving Bruce Mouat needing a draw to the button, but it came up short and gave up a three to give Team MacDonald a 4-2 lead. After a blanked 5th end Team Mouat scored a one in the 6th end to bring the score to 4-3. A successful down weight take out for Team MacDonald to take a two in the 7th end and a steal of one in the 8th end saw them extend their lead to 7-3. Team Mouat then bounced back with a two in the 9th end to bring the score back to 7-5. In the 10th end Team Mouat were unable to create any cover but were lying two prior to Ewan MacDonald’s final stone.
